Toni DeMatteis STYLIST
Toni DeMatteis trained at the Vidal Sassoon Academy, graduating in 2002. Toni did her apprenticeship with Vidal Sassoon in Washington DC, after which she worked as a stylist in Costa Mesa, Washington DC, and London, before pursuing a career in Orange County in 2011. Now, Toni utilizes her excellent skills as a stylist working for Lavender Salon. When she’s not taking spin classes or enjoying her OC life, Toni is providing many services at Lavender. She loves to use her favorite product, Kerastase Fluidissime, to assist with her looks. Being a versatile and rounded stylist, she does it all and can give clients the perfect look for them. Denay Gulserian STYLIST
Denay Gulserian trained at Paul Mitchell Beauty School, graduating in 2003. She received additional training at Bumble and Bumble in New York before moving to Orange County and starting a career with Lavender Salon. Denay loves the Kerastase Elixir Ultime Oil and Oribe’s Dry Texturizing Spray, which she says are both vital to all her styles. She provides a multitude of services at Lavender including coloring and men’s cuts. Denay is passionate about providing dream looks for her clients and loves being a hairstylist.
Elaine Vi Hoang STYLIST
Elaine Vi Hoang trained at Toni & Guy South Coast Academy, taking advanced classes such as the Meche Salon Tracey Cunningham colorist class and the Business of Balayage Essentials class to expand her expertise on styling. Elaine is a foodie, a fitness advocate, and a dog enthusiast, but most of all, she is a hairstylist. Elaine’s favorite product is the Kerastase Resistance Masque Therapiste, which helps to keep hair bonds healthy between services and dramatic color changes. Her services include cuts, highlights, hair painting, balayage, corrective coloring, and other hair treatments tailored to what her client is looking for. Sloane Moat STYLIST
Sloane Moat was trained at Golden West School of Cosmetology. Sloane is a unique stylist that loves to spread the joys of hairstyling, not just through her Orange County community, in other countries such as the Philippines, Australia, and Mexico. On mission trips, she uses her skills to give haircuts to the less fortunate and teaches kids how to cut hair. Sloane is a multitalented stylist who provides a variety of services at Lavender Salon. Her favorite product is Fluissome-Pink Spray, which helps her achieve the perfect looks for her clients. Specializing beaded weft extensions, hair painting, cutting and coloring, and wedding styles, Sloane can serve any clients demands. Liz Najera STYLIST
Liz is a sought-after hairstylist at Lavender Salon & Boutique specializing in everything from balayage, blondes, brunettes and hair extensions. Her passion for the last five years as a hairstylist has been making women feel empowered and beautiful. She loves doing hair for weddings - and her favorite products are Kerastase Cement Thermique Leave-in and R+Co Vicious strong hold hairspray. When she's not at the salon, you can find her spinning, running, and taking a Crossfit class around town. Amber Nissen STYLIST
Amber Nissen has over 20 years of experience in the beauty industry, cutting her first bob at 17 year olds in a small salon in Seal Beach. After that first haircut, Amber found her true calling was for hairstyling. Amber is an expert in all things relating to beauty and health. She has done everything from being a successful makeup artist to owning a pilates studio, but she will always be happiest when styling hair. She loves Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray and uses it while providing many services at Lavender Salon. Amber’s a certified Hot Heads Extension Artist, Master Blonde Queen, and she loves a good, precise bob! Collette Silva STYLIST
Collette Silva has 17 years of experience in hairstyling and makeup artistry. Collette graduated from M.U.D. Studio and was trained at Vidal Sassoon. She was a senior colorist at Vidal Sassoon in San Francisco and Costa Mesa where she was able to practice and perfect her styling abilities. Collette is a vegetarian who loves houseplants and all living things. She also loves her job and passionately serves her clientele. Her favorite product is Kerastase Elixir Ultime Oil, which she uses when styling, coloring. Collette also provides makeup services such as airbrushing. Heather Strauss has been in the hair industry for 19 years, being trained at Toni & Guy Southcoast Academy. Heather is a twin, so she’s always had someone to style. Jan Zanellato STYLIST
Jan Zanellato is a 22-year hair veteran trained at Vidal Sassoon Academy. She’s a Bumble and Bumble educator, a Balayage master stylist, and an experienced cutting and coloring artist. As a young girl, Jan spent most of her time in a hair salon, destined to be a part of the beauty business. Now, she’s a successful stylist who also works at the Beverly Hills Hotel as a celebrity stylist. Jan cannot live without her Oribe Dry Texture Spray which helps her accomplish the transformative styles she loves to give her clients. Jason Alarcon went to Fullerton Community College for Cosmetology but his love of styling didn’t start here. Jason started braiding his mom’s hair when he was 5 years old. Bianca Guirado trained at Collen O’haras beauty academy and is a Kerastase certified blow dry Stylist. Bianca was born to style, cutting the hair of her Barbie’s at the age of 4. Her motto is “The bigger the hair, the harder they stare” and as the Blow Dry Bar Manager at Lavender Salon, she enjoys giving clients a bold and beautiful look that they will love. Mitch O’Leary BLOWDRY STYLIST

Cindy Perez was trained at the Golden West School of Cosmetology. Upon graduation, Cindy spent over two years assisting Orange County’s top stylists. Linsey Brezeale MAKEUP ARTIST
Linsey Brezeale is a licensed esthetician who started her career as a makeup artist working for MAC and NARS. Linsey is happily married and loves living the mom lifestyle with her little girl. Positivity is key in her life and what she loves most about her job is making people feel better than they did when they came to her. She is always excited to help them realize their outer and inner beauty. She has been trained extensively in lash lifts, microblading, and eyelash extensions and is certified in permanent makeup. Laurel Michas MAKEUP ARTIST
Laurel Michas started her career as a makeup artist in 1999 and has never looked back. Her journey into cosmetics began while taking courses in Visual Communications as she worked part time at New York City’s Victoria’s Secret. She worked on media tours, television, photoshoots, constantly learning the different avenues of the beauty industry. Laurel has consulted with clients at Bergdorf Goodman, Henri Bendel, Saks Fifth Avenue, and Neiman Marcus. Now a Newport Beach resident, she works as Lead makeup Artist and Cosmetics Retail Manager, using a wide range of products from professional makeup brands along with her favorite version of the latest trends in the season. Her services can accommodate all ages, stages, and locations. Her charismatic personality, eye for color, skillful application, and beautiful makeup looks are loved by her loyal clientele. Jessica Marie Tellis got her professional start at the early age of 19 when she was hired for MAC cosmetics. While attending beauty school, Jessica Marie quickly realized her true passion was for makeup and even more specifically, shaping eyebrows. She began taking full advantage of the creative environment in work and school, where she learned industry leading skills and cutting edge application techniques. Her signature style is stunning, romantic, and flawless. She has an eye for symmetry and attention to detail which confirmed that this profession was perfect for her.
